History
WebProof A/S was established in 1998 by CTO Jakob Vedel Abeltoft.
At that time, emails and the internet were not commonly used and
Google was more or less unknown. Private individuals typically
accessed the internet throught 33-56K modems - which puts the
development of the internet into perspective.
Since 2000, Martin von Haller Grønbæk has been Chairman of the board and Jan Adeltoft CEO of WebProof.
In 2000, WebProof experienced a breakthrough on the basis of participating in DRUPA and the first PDF World Conference in Copenhagen. This resulted in some of the first users of the, extremely simple version of, WebProof that existed at that time.
WebProof was one of the first companies in Europe to offer customers ASP: in other words, WebProof was a hosted proofing service, whose customers didn't need to invest in software or hardware. The only requirement was, and still is, internet access. WebProof is 100% web-based. You won't need Java, Flash or other similar components.
In 2012, WebProof recieved the Danish business newspaper Børsen's Gazelle Award for one of the fastest-growing companies in Denmark.
