COOP

COOP runs Scandinavia's largest chains of grocery store and convenience store brands.  Supporting this group is COOP Trading, in charge of procurement and production of graphic packaging material for their many brands in all countries.

Production manager Ronnie Greve is responsible for ensuring that COOP group's many packages, labels, etc., are progressing smoothly through their production stages.  WebProof is central to helping him succeed.

"Typically, our bureau in England uploads various packaging layout proposals into WebProof, which brand managers then go through to select the one to be used.  The associated text then must be translated into all COOP's operating languages, and proofreaders and local lawyers in the respective countries review the packaging", says Ronnie Greve.

He continues: "When these reach the go-ahead stage, DTP starts the process of finalizing the packaging design.    Throughout this process, brand managers and advertising agencies still get to review before they give their approval.

If proofing were attempted with the traditional method of sending e-mails with attachments, even 3 proofs would involve many thousands of e-mails, and production time would be much longer than it is now.

WebProof manages the entire process.  WebProof uses automated notifications to tell the next user that now, it is their turn to handle a proof page.  Ronnie has a complete overview of everything that is in progress and where all jobs are in the process.  The only requirement on Ronnie is access to the Internet.

Ronnie Greve concludes with: "I can not imagine this scenario without WebProof - it is marvellous."
